كانت ميشلين عواد مروحة من قداس في إحدى كنايس بيت ساحور لما لقت مجموعة شباب بصدوا اقتحام لجيش الاحتلال. شلحت كندرتها الصفرا أم كعب وبدت تركض مع الشباب وترمي حجارة. بيت ساحور معروفة بمشاركة الناس كلها بمواجهة الاحتلال، نساء ورجال وأطفال وحتى كبار السن.

Micheline Awad was leaving a church service in Beit Sahour when she saw a group of young men resisting an Israeli army incursion. She took off her yellow heels and started running with the young men, throwing stones.
Beit Sahour is known for the participation of all its people in confronting the occupation: women, men, children, and even the elderly.
